Mattie is getting more and more expression each day. She actually frowned at me last night when I was feeding her. She doesn't care for Green Beans, and did not want me to get them in her mouth. So, I switched to Summer vegetables, which have Green beans in them and she ate them up! Funny, what things we like and dislike.
Her birthday is coming up and the planning is beginning, we have a theme, we just need a date. I was hoping to combine her adoption day with her birthday, I hope that can happen.
Mattie will be a year March 21, 2009, but she will really be a year old in July. So the question is........do we celebrate now or then or maybe twice this year. I mean it is a very special celebration for her turning one year old. It will be another great day when she is adjusted to a year, all are major milestones in my book. Whatever happens, I know it will be a fun day.

sounds like you guys could party at least 4 or 5 times and I bet she would enjoy them all..
I check your sight at least 2 or 3 times a week to see how well she is progressing.

What we have always done for C is celebrate both his birthday and the day he came home from the NICU. So birthday in April, coming home day 5 months later in September (his due date was in July). We call the celebration in September his Special Day. It's not as big as his bday and we always keep it immediate family only.
