It has been awhile since I last posted.  I have been working on a ditgial portfolio for one of my courses and this was one area I had not thought about in some time.  However, here I am writing on my blog. Life has been crazy this past year.  I have had many health issues to deal with and am currently getting over pneumonia which I don't think is going away.  Today I have felt so tired.  Everyone in my family is home today, we all feel bad and need a rest.  I hope all of you are well and feeling good.

Weatherford Morning

Mattie and Beau went to see Cindy the hairstylist today, they were so good and Cindy made their day.  Then we drove up to Weatherford to have some breakfast and shop at the Farmer's Market.  Great day even with the heat!

Today was a wonderful day off!  The kids had their therapy early in the morning, and then we met my cousin Sara and my Uncle Phillip for lunch at Joe's Crab Shack.  The kids love it there because they have a playground.  We then went shopping at Goodwill and got some amazing Nike stuff for the kids. Brand new never worn! Hats, shirts, and cute little skirts.  We took the kids to the yogurt shop where Beau ate Orange and Mattie had vanilla and chocolate.  Beau added some sprinkles and shared with Mattie and Phillip, we had a great time.  Came home and passed out and then out to dinner with Mark and the Kids to Chic-fil-A. So much fun!

Good Living in the Summer!

Good Living!  Wanted to say that versus the time of day.  We are on our own schedule here due to summer events.  I'm trying very hard to concentrate on work vs. play.  The sun is calling what can I say.  Mattie and Beau are doing well and growing so much, I'm very proud of them.  I began a new side career this week, you will see from time to time, I'm a Close To My Heart consultant!  If you are into papercrafts, scrapbooking, stamping, or Cricut you will know this great organization.  So watch out, I might just surprise you all with some different things!

I remember growing up and watching cartoons on Saturday morning, so the legacy continues with Beau.  He is a TV Boy.  He likes Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Curious George, but his all time favorite is Calliou.  He is in the Zone when he is watching his shows.  I love my Boy!...and hey I love cartoons too!

As Summer heats up we always have our water in hand.  We carry it with us everywhere.  Yesterday I got the kids pool out and filled it for them to play with.  Mattie for the first time started getting in and getting wet. I think these two are feeling the heat, Beau learned that the shade is not as hot as the sun.  He said "It's HOT out here unless you stand in the shade"  Boy is he right!  With the temperature soaring we will have some inside time with movies, games, tablet time, and a nap when needed.  Have a great Summer everyone!

Good Day everyone!  Today is a busy day at our house with occupational therapy and physical therapy for the kids, they are learning so much.  We are enjoying the summer and relaxing in the cool air conditioning of the house.

Recently Mattie met a new relative, she was hesitant at first but soon fell in love with Uncle Gene Elston.  He was fun walking them here and there and teaching her to make rabbits with her hands.  She found a new friend, a new relative to love.  Uncle Gene reminded me of the first time I met my uncle, he was so handsome and I told my aunt Linda (auntie) that if she didn't marry him I would!  Mattie's curiousity soon led her to Uncle Gene's arms and that was just precious!

Summertime

Hello and glad you are all following.  This is my creative space to talk about my life, my kids, and everything else.  So what is going on?  Well, I have canned eight jars of Tomatoes from our Garden.  Tomorrow is the fourth of July so today will be filled with some grocery shopping, firework shopping, and hopefully a swim.  Mattie and Beau are playing in their kiddie pool on the driveway right now so things are quiet in here!  Hope you are all having a great day, here's my Beau on his bike.

Today I am Thankful for my two wonderful children and their amazing father.  Without them I would be nothing.  They have helped me to grow, to love, to be so much stronger than I ever dreamed I could be.  So I am very Thankful for them and the love they bring.

Well here we are on a great summer day.  We met my friend Nancy and her family at Olive Garden for lunch and snuck in some photos.  I wanted to share a great recipe as well.

Zuchini cut into strips or rounds and place in oven safe dish, drizzle with olive oil and add a couple of pats of butter top with tomatoes and parmeson and bake until brown........yum!

Well Summer is offically here and we have had a blast so far.  I wanted to share the mantle I put together for our Memorial Day Festivities so here it is.  I have also included a picture of my Dad and the kids, they were so excited to share the holiday with everyone.  Thank you to our military family for serving our country and providing us Freedom.

I know most mom's brag but these two are the best!

Fresh from my Garden!

Mattie turned 4!  We celebrated with a party and her favorite enchiladas from Esperanzas in Fort Worth.  We had Pink Lemonade Cake, and her friend Megan made her a chocolate Flower cake.  She had lots of people attend the party from her daycare to family to friends and one special guest was her teacher from Mothers Day out Miss Cathy.  What a fun event.  I did something a little different on the mantle, I took photos of her from when we first saw her until now and put them up with a banner and some things from her keepsake chest.  It turned out too cute.

Making a growth ruler for the kids today and could not get over how little they were when born.  Mattie was 1lb 5 oz, and 11 inches long, Beau was 1lb 10 oz, and 10 inches long.  Wow these two kids are growing by leaps and bounds.  I love it!  It is so special to be their mom!

Valentines should be the holiday that last longer.  Here is a picture of our mantle, it contains some older valentines, some hearts, and the King of Hearts!  Mattie and Beau celebrated Valentines with a party at school.  Most of Beau's valentines were lost as the daycare did not consider where the kids would keep thier valentines but he made out like a bandit at home with lots of love, candy, and sweet animals.  Mattie enjoyed the day and has several new babies to look after.  Here is wishing everyone love and a happy Valentines day!

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentine's day everyone!  It has been a busy day filled with parties at preschool and a very nice Valentine's day lunch with my good friend Nancy.  The day is still full of many more valentine fun as we head into the evening.  Mark is bringing home dinner and the kids have to open their Valentines from me and Dad, it is sure to be fun.  I hope all of you have had an amazing day filled with love because you deserve it!  Love to all and have a great week!
